SECTION 5.1.3 - DELETE AN
ASSEMBLY
USAGE: It is possible to delete an
Assembly by deleting all the Components one by one. However, if you simply wish
to delete a redundant Assembly, you can use the DELETE function instead.
DISCUSSION: When you start the DELETE
program, the computer will initially ask for an Inventory code. This is the
Assembly code. Insert the code and press <Enter>.
To return to the BILL-OF-MATERIALS MAINTENANCE MENU, press <ESC>.
To search for an Assembly, press <F9>. This will display a list of all Assemblies on file.
The screen will display the Inventory code, Description and the number of
Components in each Assembly. Choose an Assembly by pressing <Enter> or <F10>. You will be asked to
confirm your request and then the whole Assembly will be deleted. The Inventory
master-file is not affected by this function.
