SECTION 3.5.6 3.1– FUEL FREIGHT PRICE MAINTENANCE

 

USAGE: To maintain the table of Freight prices for Fuel.

 

DISCUSSION: When you sell Fuel, HiFinance uses this table to compute the freight costs that will be on-charged to the Customer. Every record has a Debtor. Carrier and Truck attached. Within the record each fuel type is listed with a price. Note that if you change a price after an invoice is produced, the price on the invoice will not be affected.

 

To return to the FUEL FREIGHT PRICING MENU, press <ESC>.

 

Initially, HiFinance will ask for a Debtor. This is the code of the Customer. To search for a Debtor, press <F9>. For further details on searches, see SECTION 1.2.

 

Having chosen a Debtor, the screen will display their name and address in full at the top of the screen.

Next you are asked for a Carrier code. This is the code of the Carrier. To search for a Carrier, press <F9>. For further details on searches, see SECTION 1.2.

 

Having chosen a Carrier, the screen will display their name and address in full.

Next you are asked for a Truck code. This is the code of the Truck used by the Carrier. To search for a Truck, press <F9>. For further details on searches, see SECTION 1.2.

 

Having chosen a Truck, the screen will display its name.

Initially, only the HOURLY RATE field will appear, but the rest of the screen will build up as you enter past the fields. The fields displayed are fully discussed in SECTION 3.5.6.3.

To save the record, either press <Enter> past the last fuel type or press <F10> at any time. You will be asked to confirm your entry and then the record will be written back to the Fuel Freight master-file.

 

To cancel your entry, press <ESC>.
